This is one of our favorite dishes! It’s packed with omega 3, healthy fats, and tanginess. Don’t forget to add lots of sesame seeds on top. 🙂
Ingredients:
Salmon
Rice
Shredded Carrots
Avocado
Green Onions
Cucumber
Sesame seeds
Honey
Liquid aminos
Spicy mayo sauce
Arrowroot
Sesame oil
Ginger
Garlic
Salt
Steps:
1. Bring water to a boil and begin to cook your rice.
2. Make your sauce for the salmon: combine 3 tbsp of liquid aminos, 1/2 tsp of ginger, 1 tbsp of honey, and I sprinkle in a little garlic powder.
3. For the spicy mayo sauce: combine some mayo, sriracha, and lime juice. Eyeball this and taste as you go. *place in fridge until ready to plate*
4. Slice some avocado, cucumbers, and green onion.
5. Peel the skin (this is preference) off your salmon. I’ll boil some water and pour it over top of the fish to help remove the skin. If some gets left on, no big deal.
6. Cut your salmon into cubes.
7. Add some sesame oil to a hot pan. **I prefer sesame oil over olive oil for this recipe! It tastes so good on the salmon.
8. Add some arrowroot to a bowl and coat your salmon.
9. Cook your salmon (a few minutes on each side) then add your sauce to the pan.
10. Make your bowl! Start with your rice (don’t forget to salt it), add your salmon, shredded carrots, cucumbers, and avocado. Top with green onion and sesame seeds! Ta-Da!
