- Let go of expectations for how your day should go and for yourself… {resting isn’t laziness!} this will bring peace if you can let go.
- Assume the best in your spouse – you’re on the same team.
- Deep breath – be slow to anger in moments when you’re overwhelmed.
- Be present. Enjoy every moment – it’s only a season.
- You can’t kiss and snuggle your baby enough! Who knew you would look forward to their smiling face at 3am?
- Have grace for yourself as you learn your baby – what works for one baby + family could be different for you.
- The love you feel for them is a whole other level and it only continues to grow.
- They are the most important work. Everything else can wait. What I use to define my day as a success has completely shifted.
