8 Lessons I’ve Learned in 8 Weeks as a New Mama!

  1. Let go of expectations for how your day should go and for yourself… {resting isn’t laziness!} this will bring peace if you can let go.
  2. Assume the best in your spouse – you’re on the same team.
  3. Deep breath – be slow to anger in moments when you’re overwhelmed.
  4. Be present. Enjoy every moment – it’s only a season.
  5. You can’t kiss and snuggle your baby enough! Who knew you would look forward to their smiling face at 3am?
  6. Have grace for yourself as you learn your baby – what works for one baby + family could be different for you.
  7. The love you feel for them is a whole other level and it only continues to grow.
  8. They are the most important work. Everything else can wait. What I use to define my day as a success has completely shifted.

Bonus Lesson Learned from Brett:

Organization is key. If you’re not organized, you’re stressed.
